Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, timezone, membership status.
- Learning data: lesson progress, assessment attempts, Lab activity, notes, reflections, credentials.
- Community data: posts, replies, reactions, reports.
- Coach data: conversations with the AI Learning Coach.
- Technical data: device, browser, IP-derived region, and error diagnostics.
Why we use it
- To deliver courses, track progress and issue credentials.
- To personalise learning plans, revision and recommendations.
- To provide support and keep the community safe.
- To improve curriculum quality using aggregated, de-identified analytics.
- To send service messages, and marketing messages where you have consented.
Your rights
- Access, correct, export or delete your personal data.
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
Retention
Learning records are kept for the life of your account plus seven years so credentials remain verifiable. Support records are kept for three years. Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days, except records we must keep for credential integrity or legal obligations.
Sharing and security
We share data only with processors that host, secure and operate the platform, and with payment providers where applicable. We never sell personal data. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and every administrative read of analytics is audit-logged.
AI processing
Coach conversations are processed by our AI provider to generate responses. Your conversations are private to your account and are not used to train third-party models. Analytics on coach usage use aggregated topic data only.
